From Individual Memory to a Collective Question

How does a personal memory, over time, become part of a question that belongs to more than one person?

Everyone has their own memories, but some of these memories, once told and set beside others', reveal a wider pattern, a question that goes beyond any one person.

This does not mean dissolving individual experience into a collective narrative, but noticing that some individual questions may, at their core, be shared ones.
